Add a place on the home screen, for example “Workshop”, and photograph it. Choose “Add Area” at the bottom and tap cabinets, shelves or drawers. Each area gets its own photo. With “Add Item” you tap the things themselves.

Besides normal text search, the app shows items under “Related” that match your search without containing the word: synonyms, the other language, or what something is for. This needs a device with Apple Intelligence; without it you get normal text search.

Automatic naming and “Related” search use Apple Intelligence (e.g. iPhone 15 Pro, iPhone 16 and later, iPads with an M chip). On other devices everything else works the same; you just type names yourself.

Say “Search Invimap” or “Find something in Invimap”. Siri asks what you're looking for and tells you where it is. Tapping the result opens the app right at the spot.

Sign in to iCloud with the same Apple Account on both devices. Invimap then syncs automatically. You can check the status in the app under Settings › iCloud.

Open a top-level place, tap ⋯ › Share and invite someone via Messages or Mail. You decide whether they can only view or also make changes. The invited person needs Invimap and their own Apple Account.

Settings › Export Inventory gives you a ZIP file with all photos and entries. You can delete places and items in the app; remove the iCloud copy in iOS Settings under “[Your Name] › iCloud › Manage Storage › Invimap”.

Invimap is being tested right now and will be on the App Store for iPhone and iPad soon.
